Acting and Modeling may or may not be all that it’s cracked up to be. It may seem that acting and modeling is glamorous, but the truth is that it can be ruthless.
Acting and modeling are two different things, so you should focus on one rather than both. They both require different skills, so you may be exhausting yourself by going for both.

Some characteristics a model should have is a clear face, good bone structure in their face and a good attitude. Just those things will help you a lot in the industry. Depending on what sort of modeling you are looking to do, you will have a different figure.
Being an actor is tough work too, you need to always be getting better and take some body language classes or have voice coaches help you. These are the first impressions that casting directors see about you.
You and your agent should have your headshot picture available along with your resume at these auditions, regardless if you are a model or actor/actress. Make sure that you have these photos taken professionally and that they can be accessed easily.

Here is a good tip, hire a talent manager or better yet an agent. An agent won’t charge you unless they find a job for you and then they take a percentage of that – usually 10 percent. You can have the agent scout for jobs while you look online using the link above.
One thing to mention is that you will be criticized and let down a lot so develop that thick skin now. Do not ever let people get to you and don’t let that criticism seep through because it will really bring you down and it will be hard to get yourself back up.
